Flexibility

No matter what specific area of human services you work in, your responsibilities will not usually be straightforward. Your work with individuals will often be nuanced and complex. Being able to adapt to changes in any situation is so important to the work we do. 

Common Sense

Able to see the big picture, which means seeing how your work fits into the purpose, objectives and mission of organization. Planning and thinking ahead about what is needed to be successful in any situation. Finishing what you start. Understand what needs to be done and willing to pitch in and get it done. Help your co workers even when its not your assignment. Be nice to people within the organization. Understand you are representing CHI at all times.

 

Responsibility

This means that you must have a strong moral compass and understand the need for regulations in the workplace. You have acceptable social norms, everyday etiquette, and manners, so you can effectively support individuals in navigating in various social situations and norms.
